MISSION

“I believe that the purpose of our life is to seek Happiness. That is clear. Whether one believes in religion or not, whether one believes in this religion or that religion, we are all seeking something better in life. So I think the very motion of our life is towards happiness.” —The Dalai Lama

ethics for the new millenniumEveryone wants to be happy—it’s a universal quest. Project Happiness reveals a compass to uncover the potential of happiness within.

The Mission of Project Happiness is to engage youth in a conversation about how their values and ethics are connected to happiness and to the meaning and purpose in their lives.

We often hear Gandhi’s quote to “be the change we want to see in the world.” We want to take this deeper—how can the next generation improve the world around them without dealing with themselves first?

Project Happiness is a vehicle for young people from different cultures to recognize that they have the possibility of their own positive transformation within themselves, and it’s from this platform that they can directly affect the world around them.

Real happiness is built on an ethical integration—and it can be achieved. The journey of Project Happiness, through the eyes of our youth, opens a window to what we all yearn for and can realize... a deep and lasting happiness.
